WWE REcreated: Jinder Mahal and the Miracle of Smackdown Live

Jinder Mahal is about to challenge for the WWE World Title. And just for dramatic emphasis let me say that again, Jinder Mahal is about to challenge for the WWE World Title. Now I can not speak for all fans but personally I did not see this as a possibility for Mahal. To be completely honest with all of our readers I was very rattled when he won the #1 Contender’s Match. Then I was put in my place by a comment on Facebook that changed my perspective. A fellow blogger and wrestling enthusiast, Josh Kolic (Writer of The Hoop and The Harm) called out all Jinder Mahal “haters” when he reminded us that we have all been craving change in the company. And he is right. All of us “marks” have been moaning and complaining that WWE doesn’t push who they have and give us new top guys. We threaten to boycott the product over the constant barrage of “part-time champions. Well here we go this is what we were calling for. WWE has given us a new top heel.

The question that remains is, will they handle this in the correct way creatively? That’s what I will be discussing in this article. Now they have done some things right and some things wrong thus far and I will be touching on those items before continuing with my booking.

Jinder’s Promos

So often we see this same old gimmick, an evil foreigner comes out to a fury of USA chants waving his flag or wearing his traditional attire and we are told we have to hate him for his anti-western methodology.

Make Jinder Mahal different. Have him call us out. Make mention to the fact that the fans claim they want new main events and new champions but cry when it’s not Sami Zayn or Mojo Rawley. Tell us that we hate him because he was in 3MB and now he is going to be our next WWE World Champion. He should not preach superiority over us but call us out for thinking we are superior over him. Point out his hard work not only getting to the WWE but working as hard as he could to get back after the fans didn’t appreciate him before. Mahal has the ability to get heat but make it organic heat. Nothing gets the modern person more upset than being called out and having every said to be true.

The Theft of the WWE World Title

Now we all know why WWE did it. They were days away from Payback and they did not have a reason to keep the belt off the show and away from the debacle that was the “House of Horrors” match. So they wrote in a theft angle and you know what I liked it. It would play into his [Mahal] belief of entitlement that was discussed prior.

So why have Shane McMahon walk up to him [Mahal] in a backstage segment and just take it back. With that move WWE Creative showed their cards. They showed us that Mahal taking the title was nothing but a move just to cover their creative blunder.

Have Jinder Mahal build this into something. Have him insist on being introduced as the rightful WWE World Champion. Why not do promotional shoots where he is showing up at media events and interrupting Randy Orton. Even have Jinder Mahal thwart every attempt by management and Orton to retrieve the belt. Creatively this angle writes itself just give it legs and let it take off organically.

So let us continue…

Jinder Mahal has gathered major heat from reminding the WWE Universe that we are not the tolerant people we preach to be and on that note we are quite hypocritical. Let him add to this heat by stealing the belt and refuse to return it to Orton because he [Mahal] believes himself to be the rightful champion. This would lead us into the Backlash pay-per-view.

At Backlash I think it is very import for WWE to give Mahal and Orton the time to work and build some drama to their storyline. In no way should they make Mahal look inferior to Orton so that they may keep him in the main event level of their programming. Now I would suggest Randy Orton retaining the belt when the Singh Brothers interfere after an RKO is delivered to Jinder Mahal. This keeps a legitimate finish to the feud still to be craved. Jinder Mahal would join in on the mugging of Orton after the bell. I would have the referee attempt to collect the belt from the timekeeper’s table only to be blocked by one of the Singh brothers while the other brother grabs the belt. Mahal would again leave with the belt.

Drama Continues…

The following Tuesday night on Smackdown Live there would be a lavish party scene shown backstage. It would be set up like a V.I.P. area of an upscale club. Jinder Mahal would be celebrating keeping “his” title. Mahal and the Singh brothers would be surrounded by beautiful women and upscale food and spirits building up his personality as more upscale to match the limos and suits he has been presented in. Shane McMahon would be seen trying to get through security. McMahon would threaten to discipline Jinder if he is not aloud in the room. Mahal would wave off security from the door and have them guard the WWE World Title which would sit on a pedestal. Shane would have a conversation with Jinder Mahal warning him that Randy Orton will be there later that night and he [Mahal] will have to return the belt to the rightful champion. This statement would send Jinder Mahal in a rage cuing Shane to leave.

Towards the conclusion of the show Mahal would be shown sharing the story of his “hard fought” victory at Backlash to all of his surrounding party guests. They would pan out as the security guard at the door let out a chuckle. Jinder Mahal would be outraged and approach the security guard. The guard would turn showing Randy Orton in a security shirt. Orton would attack Mahal and then turn his attention to the Singh Brothers who are blocking the belt. Jinder Mahal would get to his feet and jump Orton from behind. Mahal would grab the belt and flee the scene with the title and the brothers. They would be seen getting away in a limo has Orton is in hot pursuit in his car as the show ends.

Tension Mounts…

After the attack at his party Jinder Mahal is shown the next week with more security and even make mention that he has instructed his legal team to look into a restraining order on Randy Orton. Jinder Mahal would get his revenge on Orton following a match as he instructs his private security to block WWE security from getting in the ring and allowing Mahal and the Singh Brothers to attack Orton and escape again with the belt.

The next week Shane McMahon would start the show by calling Jinder Mahal to the ring. Mahal and the Singh Brothers appear on the stage surrounded by their security team. Shane McMahon would go into how he is offended by the lack of respect Jinder Mahal has shown the company and the WWE Universe. Jinder would laugh at this statement and make a comment about the lack of respect the company and WWE Universe have for him. McMahon will go on to explain that he has come up with a solution to these problems Mahal has caused but will wait till Orton gets to the arena to discuss them. McMahon will go on and address the Singh Brothers saying that he has discussed their attendance at events with the management team and their contacts were never finalized so they are no longer welcome to loiter at his show. Shane McMahon would say they have the opportunity to earn full-time contacts if they win their in-ring debut tonight against American Alpha. Their match with AA would be strong in order to give the Singh Brothers a strong showing. Jinder Mahal would be on the stage in a lounge chair surrounded by his private security and the WWE World Title beside him on the pedestal. Towards the latter part of the match Jinder Mahal would approach the ring leaving security with the belt. Mahal would offer the distraction assisting the Singh Brothers in achieving their victory and WWE contracts. Randy Orton would jump out of the audience attacking Jinder Mahal on the outside while AA keeps the Singh Brothers occupied in the ring. The private security would leave the belt unattended as they go to protect Jinder Mahal. Randy would lay them out with a chair. Mahal would make a rush to get the belt but be stopped by Orton. As they brawl Shane McMahon interrupts on the microphone standing on stage holding the belt. McMahon would go on saying that Orton and Mahal need to respect this title more than they have been and put their egos aside. He [McMahon] would explain how he will be guarding the belt until they can finish this fight in the ring and the next time both men will see the belt is at Money in the Bank when it is hanging over the ring during their WWE Championship LADDER MATCH.

American Alpha and Randy Orton would team up against the Singh Brothers and Jinder Mahal on the “Go Home” show before Money in the Bank. This would be good for both teams seeing that AA has already become lost in the shuffle and need some inclusion in the higher level of talent and the Singh Brothers need to be seen as more than Mihal’s lackeys moving forward from this program. During the match they should announce that American Alpha and the Singh Brothers will be facing off in a rematch at Money in the Bank which would probably be the pre-show match.

Cause it is all about the Money Money Money….

The title ladder match at Money in the Bank has to accomplish 2 things;

  1. Jinder Mahal has to go over huge in this main event while gaining a large amount of heat from the fans.
  2. Randy Orton needs a way out of the main event scene for awhile a feud lower on the card.

So the match would have the makings of your standard ladder match. Somehow through the match the Singh Brothers would be vanquished to the back bringing in the opportunity for the match to go more to Orton’s favour. Randy would gain control of the match and even find a way to perform an RKO off the ladder dropping Mahal and leaving him in a daze. As Orton reaches the top of the ladder a mystery man in a hoodie would jump the guardrail and tip the ladder spilling Orton to the outside and allowing Jinder Mahal to climb the ladder and win the WWE World Title. The hooded man would reveal himself to be Mike “The Miracle” Bennett.

The Aftermatch:

So as i said in the above the title match needed to add heat to Jinder Mahal which is accomplished by a title win due to interference. Also Orton needed a fresh feud leaving this match and he gets that with the debut of Bennett. The team up of Bennett and Mahal would be more of a link of mutual respect than the creation of a new stable. Bennett can make reference to people leaving the company and bettering themselves like Jinder Mahal has done. This would be a good tie in for his character seeing his wife, Maria, would be with him and did this with her career. They can even create some sort of drama storyline where Orton some how used is pull in the company to have Maria let go. This would take care of Bennett’s debut feud and give Orton a new feud in the process which I will continue in a future blog.

As far as Jinder Mahal goes he needs a fresh storyline after this going into Summerslam. The answer to this is simple…Rusev. For this to work you need to forget the video shown of Rusev where he is demanding the title shot at Money in the Bank and recycling his same old Bulgarian Bully shtick that has pushed him off the radar of most fans. Rusev needs to be reintroduced to fans as a dominant fighter with knowledge in multiple disciplines. They need to make Rusev a man of few words but yet still clear in his motives of becoming a champion. The feud of Mahal vs Rusev works very well when you consider their brief history on RAW that was dissolved when the two men no longer seen each other as an asset. With Rusev and Lana dissolving Rusev has the chance to repackage himself away from the foreigner gimmick.

WWE REcreated: #1 Contender for WWE Championship

So on Smackdown Live the “creative” team just gave us yet another multi-person contender’s match. This is becoming a trend in WWE. I find it so predictable that I find no interest in it, especially right now when they have so many talent options that they can build storylines with. So this is what WWE REcreative would do:

For this storyline we are going to begin with Smackdown Live airing April 18th and scrapping this awful idea of the 6 Pack Challenge. Instead of this the marketing for that show would have announced as Daniel Bryan naming a #1 Contender for the WWE Championship. This segment opens the show. As Daniel Bryan is discussing the title situation he should begin by telling the audience that he has discussed the WWE Championship match at Payback with RAW GM Kurt Angle. It has been renegotiated that the winner of the title match will be remaining on Smackdown Live with the loser signed to RAW. This creates more mystery of who will actually win at Payback between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt. This brings us to the #1 Contender for this title after Payback going in to Backlash on May 21st, 2017. Then Baron Corbin’s music hits. He says that he is sick and tired of not getting what he deserves on this show. He has been screwed around every corner. It started with the Elimination Chamber and then the #1 contender battle royal. Corbin goes on saying that he then finished Dean Ambrose in a street fight and still didn’t get the Intercontinental Title he earned. So then he gets into how he wasn’t pinned last week in the triple threat match  for a shot at the United States Title. So as far as he is concerned he is the only person on this show that should be considered for this contender spot for the WWE Championship.  Daniel Bryan agrees with Corbin so as of this point he is the #1 contender for the WWE Championship. BUT that can change very easily. Baron Corbin is then explained that for the upcoming weeks he will be battling to keep his spot. Each week he will battle a new challenger if he loses to any one of them that winner will hold his contender spot. Corbin loses it and then Bryan says these matches start tonight when he faces Mojo Rawley.

#1 Contender Match – Baron Corbin vs. Mojo Rawley – April 18th

This match would be very physical and it would do good things for both men putting them in a main event on Smackdown. I would have it go back and forth with Rawley gaining the upper hand towards the end. Just then Jinder runs out offering a distraction. The referee sends him to the back and as Rawley turns around to tackle Baron Corbin it is reversed into the End of Days for the 1-2-3 and the victory. Daniel Bryan comes out and congratulates Baron Corbin for his cheap victory but he better be ready because next week he faces Luke Harper.

#1 Contender Match – Baron Corbin vs. Luke Harper – April 25th

This would be an incredible match. Luke Harper has done allot to take his stock to the next level performance wise. This would give him a chance to show more. These are two “big men” with amazing stamina and agility so this match would capture allot of attention. I would have Baron Corbin find a way to keep down Harper after multiple kick-outs. Taking advantage of Corbin’s frustration Luke Harper clear him out of the ring and as he is about to chase after him the lights go out and Erick Rowan appears in the ring, Harper goes to attack Rowan and the lights flash again Rowan is gone and Harper turns around in to an End of Days for the pin and the win. After Corbin leaves the ring and up the ramp after the lights flash one more time and come back on to Rowan attacking a downed Harper to set up a one-on-one match for Backlash. As we go to a camera backstage we see Corbin pass Daniel Bryan in the hallway. Corbin says looks like my competition has some enemies and walks away laughing. Bryan says well next week should be a different story, you face Sami Zayn. Daniel Bryan walks away and Corbin starts destroying items in the hall way.

**Author’s Note: The two contender’s matches ending due to outside interference would lead to other matches bring booked on the Backlash card. As well it adds heat on Corbin getting assisted wins.**

#1 Contender Match – Baron Corbin vs. Sami Zayn – May 2nd

I feel like this has the making of a really exciting match-up. I found this pairing delivered in their times together in NXT. This would be a Smackdown main event to talk about. Randy Orton would return on commentary for this match*. The match-up would have a small amount of back and forth in the beginning and then have Corbin slowly taking control of the match. Sami Zayn would have a point where he goes for something big on the outside and have Baron Corbin reverse it into a big spot through the announcers table. Baron Corbin rolls into the ring at a 5 count and as Zayn is being counted out 7….8….9….ZAYN ROLLS IN. This leads to Zayn kicking out of EVERYTHING. Corbin is getting more and more aggressive and sloppy. Corbin has Sami Zayn in the corner, goes for a running corner attack. Sami moves. Corbin bounces of the turnbuckle and Zayn counters into an Exploder into the turnbuckle. Corbin struggles to his feet. Sami Zayn connects with the Helluva Kick…1…2…3. Sami Zayn becomes #1 Contender for the WWE Championship.

**This post will assume Randy Orton is winning the WWE Championship due to Bray Wyatt moving to RAW. Also he would be kept off TV to sell his injuries from the House of Horrors Match. **

So this brings us to Smackdown Live on May 9th. Daniel Bryan comes out at the beginning of the show and announces for Sami Zayn. Zayn doesn’t come out. He announces him again and Zayn’s music starts but still no Zayn. Show goes to commercial and when it returns Daniel Bryan is shown in the back asking people if they have seen Sami Zayn and no one has. Throughout the night have the commentators announce that they are still trying to track down Zayn. End of the night comes and the Zayn’s music hits to a big pop. Baron Corbin comes out dragging an unconscious Zayn. Throws him in the ring and gets on the microphone. Corbin says that he will continue to dismantle Zayn until he gets the opportunity that was taken from him. Now I know we are in the PG-Era but I would have Zayn get a small cut so Corbin can say “Bryan this man’s blood is on your hands….GIVE ME MY TITLE SHOT.” Daniel Bryan comes out and begs for Corbin to stop. Corbin says Bryan knows what has to happen before he stops. Bryan gives in. Corbin gets his title shot. Corbin kicks Zayn out of the ring after taking a few more unnecessary shots on Zayn. Bryan gets security to accompany medics to retrieve Zayn. Bryan says at Backlash it will Randy Orton* vs. Baron Corbin. Then Randy Orton runs in for an RKO. At this point Orton should be written in as a face in this feud.

“We are now 5 days from Backlash” booms in Todd Phillips and announces a contract signing tonight on Smackdown Live (May 16th) for the WWE Championship match. Main Event segment Daniel Bryan stands in the centre of the ring. Corbin and Orton make their ways down. Bryan starts introducing the match. He is interrupted by Corbin who starts to trash talk Randy Orton and bragging about putting Sami Zayn on the shelf. He grabs the contract and signs. Bryan tries to continue his introduction of the match and Orton interrupts saying that he is not Sami Zayn and continuing “with all due respect Randy Orton will never be and Underdog.” He picks up the contract and signs. Bryan becomes assertive and interrupts the trash talk, “Gentlemen let me finish. As I was saying it will be Randy Orton defending the WWE Championship against Baron Corbin ….and…SAMI ZAYN.” Corbin goes after Daniel Bryan, Randy blocks the way with punches. Sami Zayn’s music hits. Zayn comes out. Zayn gets Bryan out of the ring. Corbin hits a clothesline on Randy Orton sending him out of the ring. Zayn rolls in to the ring. Hit a flurry of attacks sending Corbin outside with Orton. Looks at the audience and picks up the contract and signs. He then turns his attention to both men [Orton and Corbin] with a somersault over the top rope to the outside catching them by surprise. Smackdown ends with a shot of the three men lying on the outside.

The Aftermatch

This would be a good match to have the veteran sell for the new guys. Orton would take a clean pin on this match finish. I would have Corbin positioning Sami Zayn on the top rope. Randy Orton delivers an RKO on Corbin causing him to roll to the outside. Orton would frame up Zayn for an RKO off his top rope perch. Zayn reverses it but moving back and jumping down to deliver an Exploder into the bottom turnbuckle. As he goes for the Helluva Kick Corbin runs in and launches a running Zayn over the ropes. He drags Orton to the centre of the ring delivers an End of Days for the 1-2-3.

This accomplishes a serious boast in the stocks of both Corbin and Zayn. On top of this after dropping a rematch at Money in the Bank against Corbin it gives the option for Orton to step back for some time at home. Sami Zayn could also win the Money in the Bank. Sami Zayn could make it known he plans on challenging whoever the champion is in a WWE Championship Match at Summerslam.  And due to the fact that the next Smackdown pay-per-view after Money in the Bank is Battleground you could have Zayn and Corbin team up challenging the United States Champion and his challenger at the time and for fan’s sake we will say that it is Kevin Owens as champion and his challenger at Summerslam, Shinske Nakamura. A main event forcing opposites to team up would only help build the marquee summer event. Continuing off their [Corbin and Zayn] loss at Battleground it is booked to have Corbin, the heel champion stomping down and taunting the “Underdog from the Underground” into Summerslam. And this will set up for a big one-on-one match at Summerslam with Sami Zayn finally getting his first title win in WWE. He would then go and defeat Corbin in a rubber match at the next Smackdown Live Pay-Per-View. After this feud have Zayn hold the title for most of the year. This would launch two top prospects to the top of a show and having fans really focusing on the stars of the “New ERA”.

Wrestlemania 33 Recreated: The Smackdown Shuffle

WARNING: This is going to be a lengthy post because there are three matches I would change up by shifting and adding a few elements. The three matches I am going to discuss are Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton, AJ Styles vs Shane McMahon and Miz/Maryse vs Cena/Nikki. I believe by using these stars WWE can produce matches that would grab the fans attention and produce better storylines. WWE could do this by booking three matches in their places; John Cena vs AJ Styles for the WWE Title, Bray Wyatt/Randy Orton vs Luke Harper/Eric Rowen and finally The Miz vs Shane McMahon.

Authors FYI to the Readers: An “*” indicates the topic will be revisited in future articles.

Part I: Bray Wyatt/Randy Orton vs Luke Harper/Eric Rowen

First of all Orton would not have won Royal Rumble*. Instead Orton would have sacrificed himself in the Royal Rumble for Wyatt. Harper would have Wyatt lined up for an elimination with running move, Orton jumps in the way. Wyatt retaliates by eliminating Harper and then for history’s sake Lesner or Undertaker eliminate Wyatt as he is distracted by Harper attacking Orton on the outside. Orton would be kept off Smackdown for a week selling Harper’s attack at Royal Rumble. With Elimination Chamber coming up in two weeks Daniel Bryan would set up qualifying matches for four spots in the chamber match (the other 2 spots will be explained later on). Wyatt would face Harper in one of the matches the second week of qualifying matches. Wyatt goes over Harper clean but after the bell Harper attacks Wyatt with a chair. The lights go out and Orton flashes on to the screen in Wyatt form. When the lights come back on Orton is standing in the ring. Orton hits and RKO leading to Harper vs Orton at Elimination Chamber. Orton would go over Harper clean and it would be a fast match. As Orton poses in victory Harper is seen laughing on his way up the ramp.

In the Chamber match Wyatt would deliver a Sister Abigail to Cena and as he poses Styles steals the pin. Wyatt looses it on Styles destroying him with multiple Sister Abigails. As he delivers the last one the Wyatt glitch out hits the arena but instead of black and white it’s black and red only with sheep masks. Lights come back and In the ring standing on both sides of Wyatt is Harper and Rowen in black sheep masks. Orton runs down but can not get into the cage. Harper/Rowen hit a strong double team on Wyatt lights glitch again and they are gone leaving Styles laying on top of Wyatt, 1-2-3 Styles goes over Wyatt.

This sets up for Wyatt/Orton to call out Harper/Rowen. During the build up this gives Harper and Rowen mic time. They can slam Wyatt for bringing a snake (Orton) into the compound and into the family. This would bring in the possibility to keep the burning of the compound and grave of Sister Abigail but this time it would have Harper and Rowen do the damage. This would lead to Wrestlemania.

The Aftermath:

Wyatt would start the match and immediately he would be mauled by Harper and Rowen with continuing illegal double teams. Orton would attempt to come in but get stopped by the referee. Finally Wyatt gets to tag in Orton. We have a stare down between all 4. At this point Orton delivers an RKO to Wyatt with Harper and Rowen joining in on the mugging. All three men decimate Bray Wyatt. Referee calls it a no contest. Finishes with Orton on one knee holding his arms up for his pose with Harper and Rowen behind him. A red and black glitch of sheep masks being covered with vipers is shown. This finish would allow a face turn for Wyatt as he seeks his revenge. Also a strong heel turn for Orton. Finally a chance of a small push for Harper and Rowen as they fend off Wyatt and possibly leave Orton to fend for himself to go on their own.
Part II: John Cena vs AJ Styles – Iron Man WWE Title Match

So from a booking standpoint let’s keep the ending to their match at Royal Rumble as is seeing this storyline works well with John Cena and Ric Flair tied at 16 for the record.

On the Smackdown Live following Royal Rumble Styles would start the show. He would drop a rant on Cena getting lucky and getting a shot handed to him. So since Cena can just demand title shots he is going to do the same. Daniel Bryan comes out saying the Elimination Chamber is coming up and Cena will be defending the title there. Styles comes back saying since he is the ex champ he has a rematch clause. Bryan says he is right but that rematch will have to take place in the Chamber. This is where Bryan would also announce the qualifying matches for the remaining spots (Example: Wyatt vs Harper).

So as read in the above Cena, Wyatt and Styles would be the final three competitors. Styles steals the pin over Cena. Wyatt then gets jumped leading to Styles winning and walking away WWE Champ.

The next Smackdown Live starts out with Styles coming out. He preaches how no matter what John Cena and the Cenation (including Daniel Bryan) throw at him he will always be on top. Cena comes out says he is sick of this back and fourth with Styles and wants it finished. Styles replies saying it is finished. Cena says no because as you reminded us after Royal Rumble the former champ gets a rematch. Cena goes on to say that he doesn’t want any match because if he wins he will be the 17th time World Champion and he would take this time to give Ric Flair a plug for a crowd pop. To prove that he is worthy of the record he needs to know he is “The Man”. He proposes an Iron Man match. Styles agrees to the match on one condition; if he wins Cena can’t fight for the championship as long as he [Styles] is the champion. Cena agrees. Match is set as an Iron Man match.

The Aftermath:

The match would be very competitive for the first half. Slowly towards the end they each get a fall in. Match is tied at 1-1. Clock winding down. Cena showing frustration. Hits two Attitude Adjustments and Styles still kicks out. Cena goes for another but Styles counters into a Styles’ Clash. Roll up for a pin with Styles using the ropes but referee doesn’t see it. Styles up 2-1. Cena pops up starts questioning the pin. Styles lands a kick from behind. As Cena gets up Styles realizes there is only 30 seconds left ad ducks out of the ring. There is a chase in and out the ring. Cena is catching up to Styles causing a quick jump out of the ring Cena lands funny. Styles can’t believe it and quickly rolls into the ring. Cena can’t get to his feet as the referee checks on him. Clock finishes … 3-2-1. Styles has done it. At this point Styles would go after Cena focusing on the “injured” leg. This finish would accomplish a lot of things for the company;

1. It writes Cena off television.

2. Sets Styles up as a top heel. His constant taunting of killing “Cenation” alone would cause so much natural heat.

3. Gives opportunity to create new top faces for Styles to feud with such as NXT call-ups after Wrestlemania, Superstars traded in from RAW or even a newly babyfaced Bray Wyatt.

4. Finally with Cena waiting in the outside unable to challenge for the it allows for a cornucopia of creative opportunities to bring him back. IE: Money in the Bank winner waiting for his chance, Royal Rumble surprise entrant or even ground work for a possible heal turn*.
Part III: The Miz vs Shane McMahon

This match would organically come from Miz’s taunting of Daniel Bryan. Going into Elimination Chamber Miz would qualify by defeating Apollo Cruise from a dirty finish; either Maryse or even Ziggler in order to keep his feud with Apollo going on. In the Chamber match Miz would be in the final four after going on a huge run of offence. He would get into his mockery of Daniel Bryan. He would finish by applying the Yes Lock on John Cena would gain strength and stand up reversing it into and AA and pin The Miz.

Miz would cut a promo on the following Smackdown Live saying that for months he has been bullied and mistreated by management and we all know exactly who he means by management. He would make mention to being scrutinized by Daniel Bryan, forced into one sided Intercontinental Title matches after adding prestige to the title and finally having the “boss’ bro-in-law” costing him his chance of winning the WWE World Title and once again main eventing WRESTLEMANIA. The Miz finishes by saying he will be the one laughing last Daniel Bryan. This would lead to weeks of baiting Daniel Bryan with insults of his ties to Cena, how he quit, etc. Daniel Bryan would then put Miz in impossible matches. Finally when it seems Miz has had enough Bryan would be found in the back injured.

The Miz would come out the following week offering his condolences in a mockery (even possibly holding a funeral for Daniel Bryan’s Career). This would bring out Shane. Shane would call out Miz saying he knows it was him who attacked Daniel Bryan in the back and he is the reason why Daniel Bryan is laid up right now. He finishes by saying if Miz wanted a fight with management all he had to do was ask. Crowd pops. And Shane goes on to announce that the Miz will get his marquee match at Wrestlemania… with Shane McMahon. The Miz asks what happens if he doesn’t agree. Shane says I thought you would ask that so I have prepared this contract if you wanted to leave Smackdown. Miz laughs and says where do I sign. Then he realizes it’s for NXT. Looses his mind attacks Shane. Shane rallys back and sends him over the top. Shane rips up the contract and says I’ll see you at Wrestlemania.

The Aftermath:
I would have Shane do crazy spot in this match maybe even an elbow through the announce table or coast to coast. Miz would have a good spot where he runs through his Daniel Bryan moves and would even say he locks Shane into the Yes Lock. When Shane reaches out for the ropes after fighting for a long time have Maryse pull the ropes back enabling Shane to reach for them. Referee catches her and and sends Maryse to the back. Miz would let go at this point and starts yelling at the ref. Miz turns around Shane ducks a punch and turns it into a Skull Crushing Finale for the 1-2-3. Shane rolls out of the ring to Daniel Bryan waiting on stage and him and Shane start a Yes chant well Miz looses his mind in the ring. This gives Shane his final moment and hopefully would finish his run for awhile allowing Daniel Bryan to step in a stronger leadership role and continuation of the feud with Miz*.
